Stuart Laird

Stuart Laird started off as a project controls trainee with a large Oil & Gas organisation in 2011.
Since then Stuart has held a number of planning positions operating as both client and contractor.

Andy Cunningham

Andy Cunningham started his career as an Apprentice Steelworker in the Glasgow Shipyards. Upon completion, he was offered the chance to start his Planning career within Shipbuilding.

Mike Reid

Mike Reid has over 17 years’ planning experience within a project controls environment.

Ronny Laird

Supporting Insight Project Controls in various business areas across a number of clients.

Kaila Cunningham

Kaila has gained experience in business administration through her previous apprenticeship with West Dunbartonshire Council.

Meet the Team - Stuart Laird - Square

STUART LAIRD

Director

Stuart Laird started off as a project controls trainee with a large Oil & Gas organisation in 2011. Since then Stuart has held a number of planning positions operating as both client and contractor.

Working on brownfield modification projects for offshore installations, as well as working on large infrastructure projects within the Rail and Utilities industry, Stuart has the required multidisciplinary planning experience to successfully develop and manage a robust programme of works, from project conception to project closeout.

As an expert user of both Microsoft excel and Primavera P6, he is able to generate excellent corporate and project reports, driving efficiencies within existing business processes.

Integration and Management of subcontractor and consortium partner programmes, alongside effective communication and commercial awareness, are vital attributes which aid his effectiveness to successfully deliver within his role.

ANDY CUNNINGHAM

Director

Andy Cunningham started his career as an Apprentice Steelworker in the Glasgow Shipyards in 1994. Upon completion of his apprenticeship, he was offered the chance to start his Planning career within Shipbuilding. This was the start of a journey which has taken Andy from Shipbuilding, into various different sectors and Planning positions, and over the last 20 years, he has worked on Energy, Power, Oil, Gas and Railway and has struck great relationships along the way, building an excellent reputation over the years.

Andy is an expert user in Microsoft Project, Primavera and Microsoft Office tools and is a strong communicator. He is proficient when it comes to integration of programmes and has managed various multi-discipline complex integrated programmes which have assisted in giving full visibility of the project status at any given time.

Andy has also assisted with numerous claims from forensic Planning to assisting with writing reports for claims. Overall, Andy is very comfortable at all levels and will always be fully committed to making sure the clients requirements are met throughout the life cycle of the Project.

Meet the Team - Mike Reid - Square

MIKE REID

Director

Mike Reid has over 17 years’ planning experience within a project controls environment.
Predominantly involved in the rail sector throughout his career, he has also gained experience in renewables and offshore oil and gas. Mike is accomplished in all aspects of planning within the project lifecycle, from generating tender programmes from specification documents and interactive planning sessions, through to creating and managing contractual programmes. Furthermore, he has also gained experience in the preparation and justification of claims.

Working for a variety of organisations throughout his career, he is able to identify and implement good working practices to help provide optimal project control solutions.

Having held roles with both client and contractor, Mike understands the expectation from both sides regarding successful project delivery.

RONNY LAIRD

BUSINESS SUPPORT MANAGER

Supporting Insight Project Controls in various business areas across a number of clients.

Ronny has over 35 years’ experience in large Engineering organisations in a variety of roles. As a qualified Management Accountant, his initial background was in Finance but subsequent roles have afforded him a wide range of business knowledge and experience.

He is currently providing a wide variety of business support from front-end tendering, through project execution and close out.

Meet the team - Kaila Cunningham - Square

KAILA CUNNINGHAM

TRAINEE PROJECT PLANNER

Kaila has recently joined Insight Project Controls as a Trainee Project Planner.

Kaila has gained experience in business administration through her previous apprenticeship with West Dunbartonshire Council.

Her strong inter-personal skills and ability to lead were demonstrated at an early stage and she soon became the focal point for the training of new and existing staff on the Council’s systems.

We see Kaila’s skill set, coupled with her enthusiasm to learn, as a great benefit, both to our organisation and to the Clients she will support.
